Job Description
Join the Carolina Mountain Club (CMC) on Friday, October 16 for a day of helping repair damage on the Trail from Hurricane Helene and other important trail projects. All are welcome! Volunteer will work alongside experienced trail maintainers will provide hands-on training. This work party will focus various projects, including helping with water drainage issues, clearing the Trail, and repairing damaged treadway. This is a great way to meet both new and experienced volunteers AND learn new trail maintenance skills! Please wear long pants and sturdy boots. Bring plenty of water and snacks for the day, lunch, sunscreen, bug spray, layers appropriate for the weather, a rain jacket, and personal work gloves. Additional personal protection equipment and tools are provided for new volunteers. Carpool is available from Asheville. The trailhead can be up to an hour away. Advanced registration necessary.
