The Concrete Polishing Technician is responsible for preparing, polishing, staining, sealing, and maintaining concrete surfaces to produce high-quality, durable, and aesthetically pleasing floors. The technician operates concrete grinding and polishing equipment, applies surface treatments, maintains job-site cleanliness, and follows all company and safety procedures. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, mechanically inclined, safety-conscious, and committed to quality workmanship and customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain concrete grinding and polishing equipment, including planetary grinders, hand grinders, polishers, and dust-control systems.
• Prepare concrete surfaces through grinding, patching, repairing, and cleaning.
• Remove coatings, adhesives, stains, and surface imperfections as required.
• Perform concrete polishing using progressive diamond tooling to achieve specified finish, sheen, and clarity levels.
• Apply stains, dyes, densifiers, sealers, guards, and other concrete surface treatments according to project specifications.
• Inspect completed work throughout each phase to ensure quality and consistency.
• Mix and apply materials safely and accurately according to manufacturer instructions.
• Set up job sites, containment areas, equipment, and dust-control systems.
• Maintain clean and organized work areas throughout the project.
• Perform routine cleaning and basic maintenance of tools and equipment.
• Identify equipment, surface, or application issues and communicate them promptly to the supervisor.
• Follow project schedules, work orders, specifications, and quality standards.
• Follow OSHA requirements, company safety policies, and site-specific safety procedures.
• Properly use required personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Work effectively with crew members, supervisors, subcontractors, and customers.
• Represent the company professionally at all job sites.
• Complete other duties as assigned.

Qualifications Experience in floor care, polishing, and refinishing concrete surfaces Proficiency with grinding machines, coatings, and surface preparation Knowledge of floor cleaning chemicals, safety equipment, and proper handling procedures Ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling; maintain an organized, clean workspace Prior janitorial or custodial/environmental services experience preferred; excellent customer service skills Summary As a Concrete Polishing Technician, you will play a key role in delivering polished, high-quality concrete surfaces for a range of commercial and residential projects. You will report to the site supervisor and collaborate with maintenance and construction teams to prepare, grind, and finish floors using appropriate grinders, polishing machines, and chemicals. With core skills in floor scrubbing, cleaning, and handling floor care chemicals, you will ensure safe, efficient operations, maintain an organized workspace, and uphold exceptional customer service and workmanship standards. Your role supports project timelines and client satisfaction through meticulous surface preparation, coating integrity, and durable finishes.

Pay:

$16.00 - $20.00 per hour Expected hours: No less than 40.0 per week
