Job Description
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Concrete Estimator to join our construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately assessing project costs related to concrete work, preparing comprehensive bids, and collaborating closely with project managers, clients, and suppliers. Your expertise will help ensure competitive pricing, effective cost control, and successful project execution from initial estimate to completion. This is a pure estimating role - no sales, no cold calling. Your job is to win work by building accurate, competitive bids and managing a consistent pipeline of quote opportunities from identification through award. What You'll Do Identify and track bid opportunities across new construction and repair markets Review plans and specifications and complete thorough quantity takeoffs Conduct site visits as needed to assess existing conditions and project scope Prepare accurate, timely proposals using company estimating software Coordinate with project managers on project logistics, timelines, and resource requirements to ensure bids reflect real-world profitability Maintain an organized, up-to-date record of all outstanding and submitted quotes Track bid status and follow up appropriately through the award process What We're Looking For Demonstrated experience estimating concrete projects (new construction and/or repair) Ability to manage multiple active bids at various stages simultaneously Strong reading comprehension of construction plans and specifications Proficiency with estimating software Detail-oriented, organized, and self-directed Valid driver's license required for occasional site visits Compensation & Benefits $70,000-$90,000 annually, depending on experience Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD Referral Program 401k matching PTO and paid holidays Monday - Friday office schedule Why Andrews Concrete?
