This role is responsible for financial performance, schedule execution, team coordination, and client relations, ensuring all work is delivered safely, on time, and within budget. The Project Manager plays a critical leadership role in driving RCCI's standards for quality, accountability, communication, and operational excellence. Key Responsibilities Project Execution & Oversight Manage multiple structural concrete projects simultaneously (commercial and public works). Oversee foundations, slabs-on-grade, elevated decks, walls, stairs, and site concrete scopes. Ensure projects are executed per plans, specifications, and contract requirements. Maintain and enforce RCCI quality control standards before, during, and after pours. Financial Management Own project budgets, cost tracking, and forecasting.
Review and manage:
Job cost reports Labor productivity Equipment and material costs Identify cost risks early and implement corrective action. Ensure profitability targets are met or exceeded. Change Order Management Identify, price, and track all CORs (Change Order Requests). Ensure timely submission, follow-up, and approval of change orders.
Maintain detailed backup including:
T&M tickets Daily reports Photos and field documentation Scheduling & Planning Develop and maintain: 3-week and 6-week lookahead schedules Coordinate sequencing with: General Contractors Subcontractors Internal field teams Proactively identify and mitigate schedule impacts. Team Leadership & Coordination Lead and support: Superintendents Foremen Project Engineers Ensure daily communication between field and office.
Hold team members accountable to:
Daily reports Time tracking Safety and productivity expectations Client & Stakeholder Management Serve as the primary point of contact for: General Contractors Owners Inspectors Maintain strong relationships while protecting RCCI's interests. Lead project meetings and provide clear, professional communication. Procurement & Vendor Management Coordinate material and equipment needs in alignment with RCCI policy: Validate vendor pricing and ensure compliance with: Quotes Master agreements ( Suppliers, etc.) Safety & Compliance Enforce RCCI safety standards and ensure: PPE compliance Toolbox talks JHA completion Support incident investigations and corrective actions. Documentation & Reporting Ensure accuracy and timeliness of: Daily reports Progress photos RFIs and submittals Maintain organized project documentation for: Claims Audits Closeout packages Required Qualifications Minimum 10+ years of experience in structural concrete construction. Proven experience managing commercial and/or public works projects.
Strong knowledge of:
Concrete sequencing and logistics Reinforcement coordination Formwork systems Pour planning and execution Demonstrated success managing project budgets and schedules.
Experience with:
Change order management Contract interpretation Proficient in: Project management software (Fieldwire, Procore, or similar) Microsoft Office Suite Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field. Experience working with union labor environments . Familiarity with California public works requirements . Experience scaling operations or managing multiple large projects. Uphold RCCI standards for quality, safety, and professionalism. Work Requirements Full-time, in-office and field presence required. Minimum 8-10 hour workdays, with early start times as needed. Ability to visit multiple job sites and attend early morning meetings. Compensation Competitive salary based on experience.
