You will oversee all on-site concrete construction operations, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and according to specifications. You will also manage daily field operations, schedule crews and subcontractors, direct material logistics, and ensure compliance with blue prints and OSHA safety regulations. You will spend time in the field as well as in the office every day, out-of-town travel is possible, but not very frequent. This is a Monday-Friday job, with occasional weekend work.

Key Responsibilities Field Operations Management:

Direct daily concrete placement, formwork, and finishing operations, ensuring adherence to project plans and specifications.

Scheduling and Planning:

Develop and maintain project schedules, including sequencing of work and coordinating subcontractors.

Safety and Compliance:

Enforce company safety policies and OSHA regulations; conduct safety inspections and maintain a safe job site.

Resource Management:

Coordinate and order materials (concrete, steel, forms) and manage equipment logistics.

Quality Control:

Inspect work-in-progress to ensure quality standards are met, and identify and resolve design problems.

Personnel Leadership:

Supervise, train, and mentor foremen and field crews, managing performance and productivity.

Qualifications Experience:

A minimum of 5 years of experience in concrete construction, with significant field supervisory experience (e.g., Foreman or Assistant Superintendent).

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in reading blueprints, construction documents, and technical specifications.

Leadership:

Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making abilities.

Technology:

Basic computer literacy (e.g., MS Office) for daily reporting.

Knowledge:

Deep understanding of concrete techniques, formwork systems, establishing grades, safety regulations and ADA requirements. Minumum Requirements Valid CA driver license and clean driving record. Willingness to travel for projects. Ability to work in various weather conditions. Strong work ethic and ability to work in a team environment. Must be able to foster a collaborative environment with Project Managers and other Superintendents. Decorative concrete knowledge and bilingual (English/Spanish) are a plus.
