This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who can bridge field execution and office operations while helping scale a growing branch. What You'll Do as the
Operations Manager:
Lead daily operations for both office staff and field coordination Act as the primary link between field crews, project managers, and leadership Oversee project documentation including contracts, change orders, permits, and closeouts Track job costs, production, and workforce hours Support bidding, subcontractor coordination, and vendor management Ensure compliance with safety standards, labor regulations, and public works requirements Manage certified payroll, prevailing wage reporting, and labor documentation Build and improve operational systems and processes to support growth Mentor and lead office staff while staying connected to field operations Must-Haves as the
Operations Manager:
Experience in both construction field work and office or operations management Strong background in asphalt, concrete, and civil or underground utility construction Proven leadership experience, ideally at the branch or operations level Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specs Experience with job costing, project coordination, and construction workflows Familiarity with certified payroll, prevailing wage, and public works compliance Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction software Strong organizational and communication skills Nice-to-Haves as the
