Job brief Hanford Sand & Gravel Inc. is seeking a reliable and energetic Concrete Yard Laborer / Loader Operator to safely, properly, and efficiently load, handle, and store aggregate materials; and for the proper care and maintenance of the ready-mix plant equipment as assigned. Along with general housekeeping of plant property and premises. They should also have experience operating heavy equipment and be able to follow safety protocols. Responsibilities Assist in loading and unloading materials for customers and production as needed Follow company safety protocols and state and federal regulations Ensure that Mixer Truck Washdown area and other areas of the yard are kept clean and free of debris, at times using a high-pressure water hose Clean and maintain mixer truck washout pits in accordance with company procedures Properly handle and maintain inventory of reclaimed washout material. Properly keep clean and maintain general exterior yard areas and plant premises including but not limited to: Regular sweeping and mopping Litter and debris removal Emptying of exterior waste bins Maintain landscaped and display areas clean by mowing grass and removing weeds through mechanical, manual, and/or other control methods as requested Maintain clean and sanitary breakroom and restroom facilities, as assigned. Assist with and perform other reasonable tasks around the general plant and yard facilities related to maintenance as requested by supervisor Other duties as assigned Requirements and qualifications Valid Class C driver's license (A or B commercial CDL a plus) 1 to 3 years driving experience Clean driving record Experience operating heavy equipment (a plus) Saturday work is required as assigned or requested off and approved Ability to follow safety protocols and regulations Excellent communication skills Physical ability to load and unload materials Additional duties as assigned Working conditions Concrete Yard Laborer / Loader Operator work outdoors in all weather conditions. They may be required to work long hours and weekends, depending on project deadlines. The job may also require working from elevated platforms, climbing ladders, and lifting and carrying heavy materials. This position requires attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team, along with a commitment to maintaining confidentiality and integrity in handling customer payment information.
