Precast Concrete Finisher

The Concrete Finisher will be responsible for smoothing, leveling, and finishing precast concrete products and ensuring a high-quality surface. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented and skilled in working with various concrete finishing tools and techniques.

Key Responsibilities:

Smooth, level, and finish precast concrete surfaces using a variety of hand and power tools. Apply curing compounds and sealers to ensure the durability and longevity of finished concrete surfaces. Patch, repair, and refinish any surface imperfections, cracks, or defects. Ensure that all precast concrete products meet the company's quality standards before shipment or installation. Read and interpret blueprints, plans, and work orders to understand the specifications for each job. Inspect molds and forms for defects and ensure proper set-up before pouring concrete. Work closely with other team members to maintain efficient workflow and meet production deadlines. Perform finishing tasks such as edging, jointing, floating, and troweling. Adhere to company safety policies and ensure a clean, organized, and hazard-free work area. Monitor the curing process and make adjustments as needed to achieve the desired finish.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 2 years of experience as a concrete finisher, preferably in a precast concrete environment. Strong knowledge of concrete finishing techniques, including floating, troweling, and edging. Experience using a variety of hand and power tools such as trowels, floats, grinders, and screeds. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and job orders. Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work. Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, including standing for long periods, lifting heavy objects, and working in various weather conditions. Strong teamwork and communication skills. Knowledge of safety procedures and ability to maintain a safe work environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with precast concrete products. Familiarity with concrete finishing chemicals such as sealers and curing agents.
