In this energetic role, you'll be responsible for finishing concrete surfaces on a variety of projects, from commercial buildings to renovation sites. Your skills will help ensure high-quality results that meet safety standards and client expectations. Duties Smooth and finish freshly poured concrete using hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment to achieve a flawless surface. Set forms and molds accurately according to blueprints and schematics, ensuring precise dimensions and alignment. Install rebar and metal reinforcement to strengthen concrete structures, following detailed construction plans. Operate heavy equipment such as concrete mixers, pumps, and other machinery safely and efficiently. Read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to interpret project requirements accurately. Apply finishing techniques including troweling, floating, edging, and caulking to produce high-quality surfaces. Collaborate with carpenters, masons, welders, and other tradespeople during renovation or restoration projects to ensure seamless integration of work. Skills Mechanical knowledge of tools, equipment, and machinery used in concrete finishing and construction. Construction estimating skills for assessing project scope and material needs. Expertise in rebar installation, concrete forming, and framing carpentry. Proficiency with hand tools such as trowels, floats, hammers, chisels, and caulking guns; experience with power tools is essential. Strong understanding of blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and technical drawings. Knowledge of heavy lifting techniques and safety protocols on construction sites. Ability to operate heavy equipment including concrete mixers, pumps, cranes, or other machinery involved in concrete placement. This role requires physical stamina for heavy lifting and prolonged standing while maintaining attention to detail throughout each phase of the finishing process.
