As a Structural Engineer, you will play a key role in the design, detailing, and quality control of post-tensioned and reinforced concrete systems, contributing to projects that shape the built environment. Responsibilities Assist with design layouts, engineering calculations, and detailing for post-tensioned and reinforced concrete systems Review and perform quality control on post-tensioned shop drawings, engineering calculations, and submittals Prepare engineering documents requiring professional engineering signatures or seals (for those with PE or eligible for licensure) Interpret architectural and structural plans to ensure design intent and constructability Coordinate technical comments and clarifications with contractors, inspectors, engineers, and internal departments Maintain consistent drawing standards, templates, and engineering documentation Support field questions, RFIs, revisions, and technical clarifications Ensure adherence to building codes, post-tensioning design parameters, and internal quality control standards Maintain documentation required for sealed engineering packages Qualifications Bachelors degree in Civil or Structural Engineering Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification required; Professional Engineer (PE) preferred or ability to obtain Florida PE quickly 14 years of experience in structural engineering or concrete design (post-tensioning experience not required) Strong understanding of reinforced concrete fundamentals and load paths Proficiency in AutoCAD (experience with Revit or Bluebeam is a plus) Ability to read and interpret structural drawings and specifications Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred Benefits Fast-track exposure to post-tension design and engineering authority Direct mentorship from senior engineers Opportunity to support signing and sealing of engineering documents early in your role Growth potential into technical leadership or engineering management paths Competitive salary, bonuses, full benefits, paid time off (PTO), and 401(k)
