In this role, you will be responsible for shaping, finishing, and detailing concrete structures while setting up forms that define the shape and dimensions of concrete elements. Your expertise will help ensure the durability, safety, and aesthetic quality of various construction projects, from commercial buildings to renovation sites. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, develop your craft, and contribute to high-quality construction outcomes. Responsibilities Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately set forms and plan concrete finishing tasks Install rebar and metal supports as specified in project plans to reinforce concrete structures Set up formwork using hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment to create molds for pouring concrete Finish concrete surfaces with techniques such as troweling, smoothing, and texturing to achieve desired appearance and surface quality Operate concrete mixers, pumps, and other machinery safely and efficiently during pouring operations Apply caulking, stucco, plastering, or other finishing techniques to enhance the appearance of concrete surfaces or repair existing structures Perform heavy lifting and manual labor required for form setting, concrete placement, and site cleanup while maintaining safety standards at all times Read construction plans accurately to coordinate tasks involving framing carpentry, masonry, metal stud framing, roofing, or restoration projects as needed Use hand tools and power tools skillfully for cutting, shaping, and installing materials such as tile or flooring in conjunction with concrete work Ensure compliance with safety protocols on-site by inspecting forms, surfaces, and equipment regularly Experience Proven experience working on construction sites with a focus on concrete finishing and form setting Familiarity with blueprint reading and schematics related to concrete structures and formwork design Knowledge of rebar installation, metal stud framing, masonry techniques including stucco or tile laying preferred Ability to operate heavy equipment such as forklifts or cranes related to concrete pumping or form setting is advantageous Hands-on experience with various hand tools (e.g., trowels, hammers) and power tools (e.g., saws, drills) used in concrete finishing and carpentry Understanding of construction estimating processes related to material quantities for concrete projects is a plus Strong physical stamina for heavy lifting and prolonged manual work in outdoor environments Join us if you're passionate about building durable structures with precision!
