Ready Mix Driver- Concrete Qualifications Must possess a valid and current Class A or B Commercial Driver's License or equivalent, and a valid medical DOT card. 1 - 2 years of commercial vehicle driving experience preferred but not required. Requirements Due to the nature of the job, follow both written and verbal instructions and communicate verbally and in writing. Use of basic hand tools Regularly lift or move up to 50 pounds Work requires flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays when necessary. Regular and timely attendance is required. Employer Conducts pre-employment physical, drug screen, criminal background check and motor vehicle record review. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Must be able to drive a manual & automatic transmission. Demonstrate a commitment to safety. High School Diploma or Equivalent Essential Functions & Responsibilities Safely operates a ready-mix truck to all job sites, complying with all applicable laws/regulations and dispatcher instructions. Properly conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of equipment to ensure safe operational order and detect/report maintenance issues. Ensures the quality and accuracy of product being loaded and delivered. Communicates effectively and efficiently with all personnel, such as dispatchers, regarding deliveries or special instructions/circumstances. Maintains work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition. - Following Company Standards - Maintains a strict adherence to company policies, safety policies, DOT/OSHA regulations at all times. Professional interaction with peers, contractors and general public. Regularly climb up and down into or out of the cab of the vehicle and climb up and down the rear ladder or rear access point of the vehicle during loading, unloading and/or vehicle wash down. Must use 3 points of contact and comply with safety policies for working at heights. Stands for long periods of time performing loading and offloading of materials in hot weather or current conditions May perform other related duties as required or directed. Including to travel and work from other company facilities as needed.
