SUPERINTENDENT - COMMERCIAL CONCRETE
Origin Concrete, Inc. Melbourne, FL Job Details Full-time $100,000 - $145,000 a year 6 hours ago Benefits Fuel card Paid holidays Relocation assistance Health insurance Dental insurance 401(k) Paid time off Cell phone reimbursement Vision insurance Qualifications Construction specifications Cast-in-place concrete structures Driver's License Construction industry experience Implementation of OSHA safety standards Construction workplace safety regulations Full Job Description About Origin Concrete Origin Concrete is a growing commercial concrete construction contractor delivering cast-in-place and tilt-up structures across Florida. We self-perform structural concrete for institutional, commercial, industrial, and mixed-use projects and pride ourselves on safety, craftsmanship, and reliable field execution. As we further expand our company across the Space Coast, Central Florida, and Northeast Florida, we are hiring an experienced Superintendent to lead field operations in the region. Position Summary The Superintendent is a senior field leader responsible for the safe, on-time, on-budget, and high-quality execution of Origin's commercial concrete projects. This role owns daily on-site operations, develops the plan for how the work will be built, and serves as the primary field representative to general contractors, engineers, inspectors, and trade partners. The Superintendent partners closely with the President and project leadership on scheduling, cost, quality, and safety, and builds a durable, high-performing field organization through the foremen and crews they lead. Above everything else, we are looking for a strong, experienced concrete construction field leader — someone who has run structural concrete work, earns the respect of their crews, and knows how to deliver. Key Responsibilities Lead all on-site operations for cast-in-place, tilt-up, slab-on-grade, elevated deck, and post-tensioned concrete work from mobilization through closeout. Plan the work — sequence formwork, rebar, embeds, pours, PT stressing, and finishing — and adjust the plan as conditions change. Deliver on productivity, quality, and safety objectives; hold crews and subcontractors to the same standard. Coordinate manpower, equipment, materials, and specialty trades to keep the schedule intact. Champion a safety-first culture and enforce OSHA and company safety standards on every site, every day. Ensure work is installed in accordance with contract documents, ACI standards, and engineer of record requirements. Serve as the primary field point of contact for the GC, owner's representatives, inspectors, and trade partners; build the relationships that win the next job. Mentor and develop foremen and field leaders; grow the bench so Origin can scale. Support cost control by monitoring labor, equipment, and material usage; review and approve field documentation and reporting. What We're Looking For A strong, experienced concrete construction field leader.
Specifically:
Meaningful experience running commercial concrete work as a Superintendent, General Foreman, or Lead Foreman on self-perform structural concrete projects — we will consider a wide range of experience levels for the right candidate. Hands-on knowledge of cast-in-place concrete, tilt-up, and one or more of the following: elevated formed decks, post-tensioned decks, or large slab-on-grade work. Depth in any of these matters more than a checklist across all of them. Ability to read and build from structural drawings, shop drawings, and specifications. Working knowledge of ACI standards, OSHA 1926, and general construction best practices. Proven ability to lead people, drive results, and represent the company well with GCs, owners, and inspectors. OSHA 30-Hour Construction certification (or ability to obtain within 60 days of hire). Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Ability to pass a pre-employment background check, MVR, and drug screen; must satisfy Florida E-Verify requirements at hire. Nice to Have Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field. ACI Field Concrete Technician certification. Experience with post-tension, tilt-up, or elevated deck work on projects $5M+ in structural concrete value. Bilingual English/Spanish. Physical Requirements & Work Environment Active construction sites in Florida weather conditions; walking, standing, climbing, and traversing uneven ground for extended periods. Early morning starts, extended pour days, and occasional weekend or night pours. Compensation & Benefits Competitive base salary commensurate with experience, generally in the $100,000-$140,000+ range, with top-end pay for candidates with strong post-tension, tilt-up, and elevated deck leadership experience. Truck allowance, fuel card, and cell phone allowance. Performance bonus tied to project safety, schedule, and margin performance. Paid relocation assistance for the right candidate.
Full benefits:
health, dental, vision, and 401(k). Paid time off and paid holidays. Continuing education & certifications (ACI, OSHA, First Aid/CPR) paid by the company. Clear growth path into General Superintendent, Area Superintendent, and Operations leadership roles as Origin scales. Location This position will be based out of Origin's Melbourne, FL office, supporting projects across the Space Coast, Northeast, and Central Florida. For the right candidate, we will also consider a Jacksonville, FL base supporting projects in the region. Relocation assistance is available. How to Apply Apply with a current resume and a brief summary of representative projects (project name, GC, structural concrete scope and value, and your role). Referrals from concrete industry professionals are welcome. Origin Concrete is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
