June 29 - September 6, 2026 Job Summary The Summer Associate will have the opportunity to experience summer in Georgia to the fullest by providing on the ground support for CJ's various programs. The Summer Associate will assist with Produce Buyers Club and nutrition education events. This may include pre-event logistics and communications, volunteer coordinating on site, and produce distribution post-event. In addition to program support, this role will ensure the CJ machine continues running smoothly by assisting with resource management- inventory. Depending on the Summer Associate's skills, experience and interest, additional capacity building projects could include contributing to research, protocol development, fundraising, etc. Note that because of the nature of Concrete Jungle programs and events, the Summer Associate may be asked to work some evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities Pre-event logistics & communications On-site volunteer coordination Produce distribution post-events Partner engagement (farmers + agencies) Inventory tracking & vehicle care Support day-to-day program operations Potential short-term projects (research, program development) Requirements Must be 18+ Car recommended Some evenings/weekends required Preferred Requirements Strong writing skills with the ability to document activities clearly and effectively Experience with databases, data entry, cataloging, and filing systems Excellent communication skills for engaging with diverse community stakeholders Demonstrated organizational skills with attention to detail in record keeping Proficiency in computer skills including typing, software troubleshooting, and use of office applications Knowledge of library services or experience working with research materials is a plus Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and lift moderate loads as needed Prior experience or interest in environmental programs, urban forestry, or community service is preferred
