Superintendent Job Summary Flynn Brothers Contracting is seeking an experienced Concrete Foreman to lead crews on heavy civil and roadway construction projects. This role is responsible for overseeing all phases of concrete work including curbs, sidewalks, structures, flatwork, and roadway-related pours. The Foreman will drive productivity, enforce safety standards, and ensure high-quality workmanship across all job sites. Key Responsibilities Lead and supervise concrete crews on heavy highway and civil construction projects Coordinate daily job site operations, manpower, equipment, and materials Oversee layout, formwork, rebar placement, pouring, finishing, and curing Read and interpret blueprints, grade stakes, and project specifications Work closely with Superintendents and Project Managers to meet project timelines and budgets Ensure all work is performed in compliance with company safety standards and OSHA regulations Conduct daily safety meetings and enforce a safety-first culture Monitor productivity and adjust crew assignments as needed Train, mentor, and develop crew members Coordinate with other trades and subcontractors on-site Maintain accurate daily reports, timekeeping, and material tracking Troubleshoot field issues and resolve them efficiently Qualifications 5+ years of experience in concrete construction, preferably in heavy civil or roadway work Proven leadership experience managing field crews Strong knowledge of DOT specifications, grading, and concrete placement techniques Ability to read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, and site layouts Experience with curb machines, slipform paving, or structural concrete is a plus Strong communication and organizational skills Commitment to safety and quality workmanship Valid driver's license required Physical Requirements Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physically demanding work Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions Extended hours, weekends, and travel may be required depending on project needs Work Environment Heavy civil construction sites including roadways, highways, and infrastructure projects Exposure to heavy equipment, traffic control zones, and varying weather conditions Fast-paced, team-oriented environment Compensation & Benefits Competitive pay based on experience Opportunities for growth within Flynn Brothers Contracting Health Insurance (PPO Plan and HSA Plan) We are an Equal Opportunity Employer Dental and Vision Insurance Company Provided ESOP (Employee-Owned Stock Plan) 401k Option Short & Long Term Disability Weekly Pay by Direct Deposit Supplemental Benefits Company Provided Life Insurance for employee and family Paid Time Off We are an Equal Opportunity Employer EOE - M/F/Disabled/Veteran Women and Minorities encouraged to apply
