Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic construction team as a Concrete Laborer and play a vital role in bringing robust, durable concrete structures to life! This energetic position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, from commercial buildings to renovation sites, utilizing your hands-on skills and construction knowledge. As a Concrete Laborer, you'll be essential in preparing, pouring, finishing, and maintaining concrete surfaces while collaborating with skilled tradespeople to ensure quality and safety at every step. This paid position is perfect for motivated individuals eager to develop their expertise in the construction industry and contribute to impactful projects. Duties Assist with the preparation of concrete forms, including framing and rebar installation to ensure proper shape and reinforcement. Operate concrete mixers, pumps, power tools, and heavy equipment safely and efficiently on-site. Pour, spread, level, and finish concrete surfaces using hand tools such as trowels, floats, and screeds to achieve smooth finishes. Read blueprints and schematics to understand project specifications and ensure accurate execution of tasks. Install various hardscape elements like sidewalks, patios, and retaining walls while adhering to safety standards. Perform demolition, restoration, or renovation work involving concrete structures or related masonry tasks. Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and materials while following safety protocols at all times. Requirements Proven experience working on construction sites with knowledge of concrete forming, finishing, and related masonry techniques. Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, heavy equipment, and machinery such as concrete pumps or mixers competently. Mechanical knowledge including understanding schematics for equipment operation or repairs. Physical strength for heavy lifting and prolonged standing; capable of performing strenuous tasks safely. Familiarity with blueprint reading and schematic interpretation for precise project execution. Valid driver's license with commercial driving experience preferred for site transportation needs. Knowledge of safety procedures related to construction sites including caulking, welding, roofing, framing carpentry, metal stud framing, and other related trades is a plus.
