Concrete Worker

Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and energetic Concrete worker to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for executing precise finishing of concrete surfaces on a variety of projects, from commercial buildings to residential renovations. Your expertise will help create durable, smooth, and visually appealing concrete structures that meet project specifications and quality standards. Duties Finish concrete surfaces by smoothing, leveling, and shaping freshly poured concrete using hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment. Set forms and molds accurately according to blueprints and schematics to ensure proper dimensions and alignment. Install rebar reinforcement and perform metal stud framing as needed to support concrete structures. Operate heavy equipment such as concrete mixers, pumps, and other machinery safely and efficiently on-site. Read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to interpret project requirements precisely. Apply finishing techniques including troweling, caulking, plastering, stucco application, and flooring installation for a polished look. Collaborate with carpenters, masons, welders, and other tradespeople during renovation or restoration projects to ensure seamless integration of building elements. Perform heavy lifting tasks safely while maintaining high standards of quality in all aspects of concrete finishing. Use hand tools such as trowels, floats, edgers, and screeds effectively to achieve desired surface textures. Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and disposing of debris responsibly throughout the project lifecycle. Qualifications Proven experience in concrete finishing with a solid understanding of construction site operations. Mechanical knowledge related to the use of power tools, heavy equipment operation, and concrete pumping systems. Strong skills in rebar installation, form setting, masonry work, roofing support structures, and tile laying are highly desirable. Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately for precise execution of tasks. Knowledge of construction estimating principles to assess project needs effectively. Familiarity with related trades such as carpentry (trim carpentry), framing (metal stud framing), plastering, stucco application, caulking techniques, flooring installation, and restoration work enhances versatility. Physical stamina for heavy lifting and working outdoors in various weather conditions; excellent hand-eye coordination; ability to stand or walk for extended periods.
