About This Job:
As a Ready Mix Concrete Delivery Professional , you play a crucial role in our operations by safely and efficiently delivering concrete to various job sites. You are the face of our company, ensuring customer satisfaction through timely and professional service. This position requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to manage your time effectively.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Operates a ready-mix concrete truck to deliver concrete to construction sites. Inspects the truck before and after each run to ensure it is in optimal working condition. Follows all safety procedures and traffic laws while driving. Manages the slump of the concrete and adds water or other additives as needed, following customer specifications. Communicates effectively with dispatchers, customers, and other team members. Completes delivery tickets and obtains customer signatures. Cleans the truck after each delivery to prevent concrete buildup. Plans delivery routes to ensure timely and efficient delivery. Provides excellent customer service by addressing customer concerns and answering questions. Adheres to all company policies and procedures. Exercises independent judgment in resolving on-site delivery issues.
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience:
Minimum of 1 years of truck driving experience, with commercial vehicles. Experience in concrete delivery is a plus.
Knowledge/Skills:
Valid CDL (Commercial Driver's License) , Class B or higher. Proficient in route planning and navigation. Strong communication skills , both verbal and written. Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks. Knowledge of safety procedures related to concrete delivery and truck operation. Ability to perform basic truck maintenance and inspections.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience operating a ready-mix concrete truck. Knowledge of concrete mixing and slump management. Proven track record of safe driving and excellent customer service .
Physical Requirements/Work Conditions:
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Ability to climb in and out of the truck multiple times per day. Ability to work in various weather conditions, including heat, cold, and rain. Must be able to sit for extended periods while driving. Requires frequent bending, stooping, and reaching. Delta Industries, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
