Job Description

Assist in the construction, repair, and maintenance of concrete structures. This involves a wide range of tasks, including preparing the work site, building formwork, mixing grout, shaping and smoothing the concrete, installing rebar, and cleaning up after the work is done.
Key Responsibilities:
Site Preparation:
Prepare the work area by clearing debris, setting out tools, and ensuring the site is ready for concrete forming or pouring.
Form work:
Prepare forms by scraping, cleaning tie holes and oiling. Assist carpenters in setting forms.
Pouring:
Assist with pouring concrete into the prepared forms.
Shaping and Finishing:
Using tools like shovels and trowels, they spread, level, and smooth the concrete.
Reinforcement Installation:
Assist with installing rebar and other reinforcement materials to strengthen the concrete.
Cleanup:
Clean up jobsite at the end of each day and return tools to their storage locations ensuring they are ready for use the next day. After the concrete has been poured and finished, they clean up the site and ensure all tools and materials are cleaned and stored properly.
Safety:
Concrete laborers are responsible for following all safety procedures and guidelines while working with concrete and other construction equipment. Follow all company rules, policies, and procedures, promoting a professional and respectful workplace.
