We are seeking a Concrete Operations Manager to serve as the senior onsite leader for a portable concrete plant supporting a major construction project. This role is responsible for delivering safe, efficient, and high-quality operations while ensuring customer satisfaction, contract compliance, and outstanding team performance. What You'll Be Doing Lead all onsite portable concrete plant operations to safely achieve production, quality, delivery, and project objectives. Manage and develop a team of supervisors, drivers, quality control personnel, plant operators, and other onsite employees to drive operational excellence. Ensure customer expectations, project specifications, and contractual commitments are consistently met or exceeded. Monitor plant performance, production, logistics, quality metrics, equipment utilization, and operating costs, taking proactive action to resolve issues. Coordinate production activities with quality control, logistics, maintenance, project leadership, and customer teams to maintain alignment with project schedules and requirements. Build strong working relationships with customers, contractors, project leadership, and internal stakeholders as the primary onsite Heidelberg Materials representative. Lead operational problem-solving and decision-making in a fast-paced project environment while maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality, cost, and customer service. What Are We Looking For Demonstrated management experience leading concrete production operations, including direct responsibility for safety, production, quality, logistics, cost performance, and people leadership. Direct experience managing portable concrete or cement plant operations supporting large-scale construction, infrastructure, or industrial projects. Strong knowledge of portable plant operations, concrete production, batching processes, material handling, equipment utilization, production scheduling, and site logistics. Proven ability to lead supervisors, plant operators, drivers, quality control personnel, and other onsite employees in a demanding production environment. Demonstrated experience coordinating production, quality control, logistics, and customer requirements to meet project schedules and contractual commitments. Experience serving as a senior onsite operational leader and primary point of contact with customers, contractors, project leadership, and internal stakeholders. Strong operational and financial judgment with the ability to monitor plant performance, production metrics, operating costs, equipment utilization, and resource requirements. Effective communication and relationship-building skills across customers, contractors, project teams, and internal personnel. Sound decision-making, problem-solving, organizational, and project execution capabilities in a dynamic operating environment. Work Environment Role operates primarily at an onsite portable concrete plant supporting a major construction project. Conditions may include moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, cold, humidity, dust, and elevated noise levels. Extended or non-standard hours may be required to support production demands, concrete placements, customer commitments, and project schedules.
