In this role, you will be responsible for applying high-quality protective and decorative coatings to concrete surfaces across a variety of commercial and residential projects. Your expertise will help transform plain concrete into durable, visually appealing finishes that stand the test of time. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, develop your skills in surface preparation and coating techniques, and contribute to the creation of stunning, long-lasting concrete surfaces. Job is temporary and would be mostly weekends during the winter. Will have more steady work once the weather breaks. Duties Prepare concrete surfaces by cleaning, grinding, and repairing to ensure optimal adhesion of coatings Apply various concrete coatings including sealers, epoxies, stains, and overlays with precision and attention to detail Operate hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment safely and efficiently during installation processes Read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine coating specifications and project requirements Mix concrete-related materials such as concrete mixer contents or specialized coatings according to manufacturer instructions Perform rebar installation, form setting, and framing as needed for complex coating applications or renovation projects Conduct quality inspections throughout the coating process to ensure finishes meet industry standards and client expectations Assist with heavy lifting, scaffolding setup, and site cleanup to maintain a safe and organized work environment Collaborate with team members on construction estimating, project planning, and site coordination for seamless project execution Support restoration, masonry, stucco application, tile laying, flooring installation, and other related trades as necessary Skills Strong mechanical knowledge with experience operating hand tools, power tools, heavy equipment, and concrete pumping systems Construction estimating skills for assessing project scope and material needs Proficiency in blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and technical documentation Knowledge of epoxy, plastering, caulking, and masonry techniques Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining physical stamina throughout long workdays Experience in construction site safety protocols and adherence to OSHA standards Familiarity with renovation projects involving concrete finishing, restoration work, or commercial building upgrades Basic understanding of schematics for equipment operation or project layouts Valid commercial driver's license Join our team if you're passionate about craftsmanship in construction!
