Precast Technician

Job description

Position Summary:

Perform a wide range of duties and tasks to safely and efficiently produce precast concrete products of the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate will have a positive attitude, willing to tackle tough tasks, be timely and ready to work.

Position Responsibilities:

Essential Duties include, but are not limited to the following: Accurately read and interpret drawings and blueprints, including rebar placement, knockout/void placement, etc. Cuts, bends, places, and ties steel rebar Prepares steel molds, including building, cleaning and prepping for filling with concrete Places concrete in molds from pour bucket Finishes fresh concrete after placing in molds Disassembles, removes hardened product, and cleans molds the following day Facility maintenance and housekeeping, including minor upkeep on equipment Product yarding and truck loading Ensure tools are free from excess concrete after each use Education/Experience Minimum High School Diploma (or equivalent) Related industry experience preferred. Machinery operation preferred. Welding experience preferred.

Knowledge/Skills/Ability:

Ability and willingness to learn and be trained Some construction experience preferred, precast experience not necessary Capable of passing required physical examination Able to speak and comprehend basic English Working safely - PPE is a requirement Good attendance and positive attitude. Knowledge and skills to use basic tools Team oriented, willingly to work with others Knowledge of basic measurements and how to read a tape measure Understands and can apply basic mathematical skills (adding, subtracting, multiplication & division)

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Industrial Plant environment. Frequent Walking/Standing (6+ hrs/day). frequent lifting (up to 30 lbs). Max lift (up to 50 lbs). Frequent climbing of ladders.
