In this energetic role, you'll be responsible for executing precise finishing techniques on a variety of concrete projects, including commercial, residential, and renovation sites. Your mechanical knowledge, proficiency with hand and power tools, and ability to interpret blueprints will be essential as you work alongside skilled tradespeople to deliver top-quality results. Duties Apply finishing techniques to freshly poured concrete, ensuring a smooth, level surface using trowels, floats, and other hand tools. Operate power tools such as concrete mixers, pumps, and screeds efficiently and safely to facilitate pouring and finishing processes. Install rebar and metal reinforcement structures according to schematics and blueprints to strengthen concrete foundations and structures.. Prepare surfaces by applying caulking, stucco, or other materials for restoration or renovation projects, ensuring seamless finishes. Perform heavy lifting tasks involving materials or equipment while maintaining safety protocols on the construction site. Assist with concrete forming and framing activities; coordinate with carpenters for accurate form setup. Operate heavy equipment such as concrete pumps or mixers; ensure proper maintenance and safety procedures are followed. Conduct quality checks during the finishing process; identify issues like cracks or uneven surfaces for prompt correction. Collaborate with team members on masonry, tile laying, flooring installation, or metal stud framing tasks as needed for integrated project completion. Experience Proven experience working on construction sites with a focus on concrete finishing or related trades such as masonry or restoration. Strong knowledge of concrete mixing ratios, curing processes, and finishing techniques tailored for various applications including hardscape and commercial projects. Hands-on experience operating hand tools (e.g., trowels, floats), power tools (e.g., mixers, screeds), and heavy equipment (e.g., concrete pumps). Knowledge of rebar installation, metal stud framing, plastering, stucco application, roofing basics, carpentry (including trim carpentry), welding skills preferred. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining high standards of quality and safety compliance. Construction estimating skills are a plus for understanding project scope and resource planning. Prior experience in renovation projects or restoration work is advantageous but not mandatory; willingness to learn is valued highly.
