Job Summary The QC tech role is vital to the successful delivery of quality concrete to construction projects throughout the Greater Rochester area by performing the duties outlined below. Conducting tests to determine the quality of raw materials, ready mix concrete, and finished products helps ensure compliance with quality standards. This position requires the ability to work as a team as well as independently to support customers and help build the community. Job Responsibilities Responsible for performing routine tests as required on raw materials, process components and final product to ensure that the requirements of the specifications and customers are met. Follow quality control plans or guidelines as assigned Assist internal and external customers in any quality related matters Collaborate with technical staff as well as customer service and operations personnel to aid in the successful delivery of ready mix concrete Paid overtime and occasional weekend work may be required during the peak season Regular and predictable attendance Assist with other functions of the business as necessary Job Requirements Valid state driver's license High school or GED required. Experience in quality or engineering is preferred but not required This position requires the employee to frequently stand, walk, use hands to handle or feel objects, tools or controls, climb or balance The employee is required to occasionally stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl The employee is required to lift or move up to 50 lbs The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
