Job Description
Overview We are seeking a skilled and reliable Concrete Finisher/Laborer to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in concrete finishing, masonry, and related construction skills. This role involves working on various projects including commercial, residential, and restoration sites, ensuring high-quality finishes and adherence to safety standards. Candidates with experience in blueprint reading, equipment operation, and concrete forming are highly preferred. This position offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects that require precision, craftsmanship, and teamwork. Duties Finish concrete surfaces using hand tools and power tools to achieve smooth, level, and durable finishes. Install rebar and perform concrete forming according to schematics and blueprints. Operate equipment safely for site preparation and material handling. Perform masonry tasks including caulking, restoration work, and flooring installation as needed. Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to ensure accurate project execution. Assist with carpentry tasks related to form building and structural support. Conduct welding and other metalwork necessary for reinforcement or structural modifications. Ensure proper placement of concrete, including finishing floors, walls, sidewalks, and other surfaces. Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and materials efficiently. Follow safety protocols diligently to prevent accidents during heavy lifting or use of power tools. Experience Proven experience in concrete finishing, masonry, or related construction fields. Mechanical knowledge including operation of equipment and power tools. Skilled in rebar installation, concrete forming, caulking, and flooring installation. Ability to read schematics and blueprints accurately for precise project execution. Experience with restoration projects or renovation work is a plus. Familiarity with construction safety standards and protocols is essential. Prior work involving heavy lifting, use of hand tools, power tools, and schematics interpretation is preferred.
