In this vital role, you will be responsible for transforming raw concrete into smooth, polished finishes that meet precise specifications. Your expertise will help shape the foundation of commercial, residential, and infrastructure projects. Responsibilities Prepare concrete surfaces by leveling, smoothing, and finishing with hand tools and power tools to achieve the desired texture and appearance. Operate concrete mixers, pumps, and other heavy equipment safely and efficiently on construction sites. Install rebar (reinforcing steel bars) according to schematics and blueprints to strengthen concrete structures. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure accurate placement of concrete forms and finishes. Set up formwork using carpentry skills such as framing, trim carpentry, and metal stud framing to shape poured concrete. Apply finishing techniques including troweling, floating, caulking, and sealing to create smooth surfaces suitable for flooring or other applications. Assist with concrete pouring operations like concrete pumping and ensure proper curing processes are followed for durability. Collaborate with team members on renovation projects involving stucco, plastering, masonry, or restoration work. Perform heavy lifting of materials and equipment while maintaining safety standards at all times. Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools, inspecting equipment, and adhering to safety protocols. Qualifications Proven experience in concrete finishing or related construction roles with site experience preferred. Mechanical knowledge of power tools, hand tools, heavy equipment operation, and construction machinery. Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately. Skilled in rebar installation, form setting, flooring installation, tile laying or masonry is a plus. Knowledge of construction estimating processes is advantageous but not required. Familiarity with heavy lifting techniques and safety procedures on construction sites. Strong teamwork skills combined with excellent communication abilities. Valid driver's license for commercial driving or operating heavy equipment may be preferred depending on project needs. Join us in building lasting structures that stand the test of time!
