The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in concrete finishing, masonry, and related construction disciplines. This role involves transforming raw concrete surfaces into smooth, durable finishes that meet project specifications and quality standards. The successful applicant will contribute to a variety of projects, including commercial, residential, and renovation sites, ensuring safety, precision, and efficiency on every job site. Key responsibilities include preparing concrete surfaces, applying finishing techniques using hand and power tools, and collaborating with other trades such as carpentry, masonry, and steel reinforcement teams. Candidates must demonstrate strong mechanical knowledge, proficiency in blueprint reading, and the ability to operate heavy equipment safely. Duties Prepare concrete surfaces by leveling, smoothing, and finishing using hand tools such as trowels, floats, and edgers. Operate power tools including mixers, pumps, grinders, and screeds to achieve desired finishes. Install rebar reinforcement and coordinate with steel crews to ensure proper placement according to schematics. Read blueprints and schematics accurately to interpret project specifications for concrete forms and layouts. Apply various finishing techniques such as broom finishes, stamping, or polishing to enhance surface durability and aesthetics. Perform heavy lifting tasks involving materials like concrete bags or forms while adhering to safety protocols. Assist with form setting, framing, and metal stud installation as needed for complex concrete structures. Conduct repairs or restoration work on existing concrete surfaces during renovation or restoration projects. Use caulking, plastering, stucco application, or trim carpentry skills for detailed finishing touches. Operate heavy equipment including cranes or forklifts safely to transport materials around the site. Maintain a clean work environment by properly storing tools and disposing of waste materials. Experience Proven experience in concrete finishing within commercial or residential construction environments. Strong knowledge of construction estimating processes related to material quantities and project timelines. Familiarity with rebar installation, form building, and concrete pouring procedures. Hands-on experience with blueprint reading and interpreting schematics for precise execution. Competency in operating hand tools, power tools, heavy machinery, and construction equipment safely. Background in masonry, tile laying, flooring installation, or roofing is advantageous. Ability to perform heavy lifting regularly while maintaining safety standards. Knowledge of various finishing techniques including stamping or polishing concrete surfaces. Experience working on renovation projects involving restoration or stucco applications. Valid commercial driver's license preferred for transporting materials or equipment between sites.
