About MCG MCG is a growing civil construction company specializing in Concrete, Earthwork, Underground Utilities, Site Development throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. We are building a company focused on long-term relationships, operational excellence, and delivering exceptional value to General Contractors, Developers, Municipalities, and Owners. We're looking for an experienced construction business development professional who wants to help build a company—not simply work another sales job. Position Summary MCG is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to develop new client relationships, identify project opportunities, generate qualified leads, and expand our presence throughout the DFW construction market. This is a fractional/part-time leadership role designed for an experienced professional with an existing construction network. The successful candidate will work directly with the company President to develop and execute MCG's growth strategy. As the company grows, this role has the opportunity to transition into a full-time leadership position. Responsibilities Develop and execute MCG's business development strategy. Build relationships with General Contractors, Construction Managers, Developers, Municipalities, Engineers, Architects, and Owners. Identify upcoming bid opportunities for Concrete, Civil, Sitework, Earthwork, and Underground Utility projects. Generate new client relationships and maintain an active sales pipeline. Meet with prospective clients throughout the DFW Metroplex. Attend networking events, industry meetings, AGC, TEXO, ABC, CMAA, SAME, and local construction organizations. Work closely with estimating to prioritize opportunities and develop pursuit strategies. Coordinate proposal development and interview preparation. Maintain CRM, client database, opportunity tracking, and follow-up activities. Strengthen relationships with existing customers to increase repeat business. Help establish MCG as a preferred subcontractor throughout North Texas. Minimum Qualifications Minimum 7 years of experience in construction business development, operations, estimating, project management, or executive leadership. Experience working with commercial, municipal, or heavy civil construction projects. Strong understanding of the construction bidding process. Existing relationships within the DFW construction industry. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills. Self-starter capable of working independently. Preferred Experience Candidates with experience in one or more of the following will receive strong consideration: Concrete Construction Heavy Civil Construction Earthwork & Grading Underground Utilities (Storm, Water & Sanitary Sewer) Site Development Public Infrastructure Commercial Construction Transportation Projects Experience working with ENR Top Contractors, Municipal Agencies, School Districts, Developers, or Public Owners is highly desirable. Compensation We understand experienced business development professionals are compensated based on relationships and results.
Compensation may include:
Monthly Retainer (based on experience and availability) Success Fee for projects awarded through relationships developed by the candidate Profit Sharing on successfully completed projects Performance Bonuses Opportunity to transition into a full-time leadership role Compensation structure will be discussed with qualified candidates based on experience and existing industry relationships.
