This role requires extensive experience in heavy civil and structural concrete construction, including formwork, reinforcing steel, concrete placement, logistics, crew management, labor productivity, and quality control. Duties Support preconstruction planning by reviewing project scope, drawings, specifications, and site conditions. Participate in constructability reviews and project kickoff meetings to support successful field execution. Support field leadership across multiple jobsites to maintain productivity, quality, safety, and schedule performance. Proactively identify and resolve field issues related to manpower, materials, coordination, scheduling, and client concerns. Oversee structural concrete operations including formwork, reinforcing steel, concrete placement, finishing, and curing activities. Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure clear communication, project alignment, and proper documentation of changes. Conduct quality control inspections to ensure work meets project specifications and client expectations. Mentor and develop field leaders to help prepare them for future Superintendent responsibilities. Ability and willingness to travel extensively throughout the United States to support multiple jobsites and project needs. Qualifications Minimum 8+ years of experience in heavy civil construction management with a strong background in structural concrete construction projects. Proficient in construction management software and field technology platforms, including Procore. Strong understanding of blueprint and specification interpretation, construction estimating, budgeting, scheduling, and project coordination. Extensive field construction experience with thorough knowledge of
OSHA/MSHA
safety standards and safe work practices. Familiarity with construction surveying methods, layout techniques, elevations, and field measurement practices. Extensive experience in layout, excavations, formwork systems, reinforcing steel, embeds, and concrete placement for structural concrete foundations and industrial structures. Advanced understanding of concrete mix designs, admixtures, curing methods, and hot/cold weather concrete placement and finishing procedures. Ability to read, interpret, and effectively execute work in accordance with construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
