Signal trucks into place; position and move chutes for efficient, accurate pours. Guide and distribute concrete with come-alongs or shovels, including hard-to-reach sections. Screed and float to exact grade and depth; achieve smooth, true finishes with straightedges, power screeds, floats, trowels, or abrasive stones. Cut crisp edges and expansion joints using edging tools and jointers. Fix defects using grinders, chisels, or fresh concrete/epoxy compounds. Place reinforcing steel and base materials to prepare subgrade. Read blueprints to confirm form dimensions and project specs. Cut/assemble lumber or prefabricated forms using hand or power tools. Erect and secure forms with braces, tie rods, nails, and bolts to hold precise dimensions. Validate flatwork layout and alignment per plan. Assist with basic labor, including spreading base materials and pre-pour prep. Wear PPE at all times and promote safe, efficient site operations. Perform other duties as assigned, working closely with your crew. Do you meet these qualifications? 2+ years of concrete finishing experience; straightedge finishing tools required. Physical endurance and strength to handle demanding tasks in varied environments. Detail orientation and pride in delivering high-quality results. Excellent coordination, balance, and depth perception. Strong written and verbal communication. Willing to work in multiple locations and schedules, including overtime/weekends as needed. Dependable teammate with consistent attendance and punctuality. Valid driver's license. Physical Requirements Expect frequent standing, walking, kneeling, crouching, climbing, bending, squatting, and crawling in tight spaces. At times you'll lift, move, or push up to 75 pounds. Close and color vision are necessary. You'll navigate uneven ground, stairs, and active construction zones with moving equipment, high noise, and temperature extremes. Follow all safety procedures without exception. Compensation Perks New hires may qualify for a $1,000 sign-on bonus (subject to taxes and withholdings).
