  • Temporary Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Cement Finisher to join our dynamic construction team.
In this role, you will be responsible for creating smooth, durable concrete surfaces on a variety of construction projects, including commercial, residential, and renovation sites. Your expertise in finishing concrete ensures structures are not only functional but also aesthetically appealing. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects while honing your skills in concrete finishing and related construction tasks. Duties Smooth and finish freshly poured concrete using hand tools and power tools to achieve a high-quality surface finish according to project specifications Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to understand project requirements and ensure precise execution Install rebar and formwork to prepare for concrete pouring, ensuring structural integrity and adherence to safety standards Operate heavy equipment such as concrete mixers, pumps, and cutting tools safely and efficiently during various phases of construction Apply finishing techniques including troweling, floating, caulking, and trimming to produce a polished surface Collaborate with carpenters, masons, and other trades to coordinate tasks like masonry, stucco, roofing, or restoration work as needed Follow all construction workplace safety regulations and protocols to maintain a safe environment for yourself and team members Requirements Proven experience working on construction projects with a focus on concrete finishing or related trades such as plastering or flooring installation Strong mechanical knowledge of hand tools, power tools, heavy equipment operation, and concrete pumping systems Ability to read blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics accurately for precise project execution Knowledge of construction estimating processes and interpreting construction plans to meet project deadlines Familiarity with safety regulations specific to construction workplaces including OSHA standards or equivalent safety protocols Skills in rebar installation, formwork construction, concrete pouring, cutting, and finishing techniques Experience with masonry work, metal stud framing, tile laying or roofing is a plus but not mandatory Join our team if you're passionate about delivering top-quality craftsmanship in a fast-paced environment!
