Job Description

Overview We are seeking a motivated and skilled Concrete Finisher to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for executing high-quality concrete finishing work on a variety of projects, from commercial buildings to residential developments. Your expertise will help ensure smooth, durable, and visually appealing concrete surfaces that meet project specifications and safety standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects while honing your craft in a fast-paced, energetic environment. Responsibilities Apply finishing techniques to freshly poured concrete, including smoothing, shaping, and texturing to achieve desired surface quality. Operate hand tools and power tools such as trowels, screeds, floats, and mixers to prepare and finish concrete surfaces efficiently. Install rebar and metal reinforcement according to blueprints and schematics to provide structural integrity. Read and interpret construction blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure accurate placement and finishing of concrete elements. Assist with concrete forming, pouring, pumping, and curing processes to ensure proper setting and durability of the finished product. Perform heavy lifting and manual labor required for site preparation, form installation, and material handling during renovation or new construction projects. Collaborate with team members on site safety protocols, project timelines, and quality control measures to deliver exceptional results. Skills Strong mechanical knowledge of construction tools, equipment operation, and maintenance. Proven experience in concrete finishing techniques including floating, troweling, edging, and brooming. Knowledge of rebar installation, metal stud framing, masonry, stucco application, and roofing is a plus. Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and construction plans accurately for precise execution. Familiarity with heavy equipment operation such as concrete pumps or mixers enhances efficiency on site. Skilled in the use of hand tools like hammers, chisels, caulking guns as well as power tools for various tasks. Experience in construction project planning is advantageous for understanding project scope. Knowledge of other trades such as Asphalt Works.
