Job Description
Overview The Backyard Life is an outdoor living contractor in St. George, UT, building awnings, shades, outdoor kitchens, landscapes, and hardscapes for homeowners across Washington County. We're hiring a Concrete Finisher to help our concrete crew on the ground and put the finish on the work yourself. This is a hands-on finishing role first: you'll work in a small crew through the pour while being the strongest set of hands on the job — the person who makes the slab look right. Concrete is the foundation of nearly everything we build, so your finish shows up in every project that goes on top of it. If you take pride in a clean slab, a crisp edge, and a clean stamp, and you want real ownership of how the work gets done, this is a place to build something. Qualifications 3+ years of professional concrete experience preferred Strong flatwork finisher — slabs, driveways, patios, walkways Experience with decorative finishes: stamped, colored, and exposed aggregate Able to follow a layout and work to basic grade and slope Valid Utah driver's license and a clean driving record Able to lift 50+ lbs repeatedly and work outdoors in Southern Utah summer heat Reliable, on time, and good at your job without close supervision Bilingual English/Spanish a strong plus Duties Help a concrete crew through the pour, finish, and cleanup while finishing hands-on Place, finish, and detail flatwork and decorative concrete to a consistent standard Work to the provided layout and verify basic grade and slope before the pour Own final quality — joints, edges, surface, and stamp work — before leaving the site
