Job Description

Field Engineer (Commercial Concrete)
Wage Range:
$22-$30/hour
Location:
St. George, UT (Onsite) Job Summary The Field Engineer supports commercial concrete construction projects by coordinating field operations, ensuring quality control, and assisting with overall project execution. This role works closely with two superintendents and a project manager based out of the Sandy office to help deliver projects safely, on schedule, and within budget. This position will be working across approximately three active projects that are all located in close proximity to each other in the St. George area, minimizing travel between job sites. This is currently being considered as a short-term need (estimated 6-8 months), though there is potential for longer-term employment depending on project pipeline and workload. We are open to both local candidates in St. George and individuals willing to relocate independently; however, relocation assistance or travel stipends are not available. Key Responsibilities Assist in planning and coordinating daily concrete construction activities, including maintaining a 3-week lookahead schedule in Excel Interpret and work from blueprints, drawings, and project specifications Perform site layout, measurements, and elevations, including basic survey work Monitor concrete placement, finishing, and curing to ensure quality standards are met Track and maintain daily field reports and documentation Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal project teams Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies Identify and help resolve field issues, conflicts, and potential delays Support scheduling and logistics for materials, equipment, and labor Conduct quality control inspections and verify adherence to project specifications Required Skills & Qualifications 1-3 years of experience in construction or concrete work (internships considered) Strong understanding of concrete construction methods and materials preferred Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications Comfortable using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Project, Teams) Familiarity with tools such as Fieldwire or Autodesk is a plus Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills Ability to work in outdoor environments and varying weather conditions Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Work Environment Field-based role across multiple active job sites Outdoor construction environment with varying weather conditions Collaborative work with superintendents, PMs, and field crews

$22.00 - $30.00 per hour
