Overview Join our dynamic construction team as a Commercial Concrete Finisher, where you will play a vital role in transforming blueprints into durable, high-quality concrete structures. Responsibilities Smooth and finish freshly poured concrete surfaces using hand tools, power tools, and trowels to achieve a flawless finish. Install rebar and metal studs according to schematics and blueprints to provide structural support for concrete elements. Operate concrete mixers, pumps, and heavy equipment safely and efficiently on construction sites. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure accurate placement of concrete structures. Perform rebar installation, form setting, and concrete pouring with precision to meet project specifications. Apply finishing techniques such as caulking, stucco, plastering, and flooring installation to enhance the durability and appearance of concrete surfaces. Collaborate with carpenters, masons, welders, and other trades to coordinate tasks during renovation or restoration projects. Conduct heavy lifting and use hand tools or power tools for tasks like trimming, framing, or metal stud framing as needed. Ensure safety protocols are followed at all times while operating heavy equipment or working at heights on roofing or scaffolding. Requirements Proven experience in commercial construction with a focus on concrete finishing and related trades such as masonry or carpentry. Mechanical knowledge of construction tools, heavy equipment operation, and schematics reading. Skilled in rebar installation, concrete forming, pouring techniques, and finishing processes. Ability to read blueprints accurately and interpret technical drawings for precise execution of work. Familiarity with construction estimating processes and material handling including concrete pumping and mixer operation. Knowledge of safety standards related to heavy lifting, scaffolding, roofing, welding, and site safety regulations. Strong physical stamina with the ability to perform heavy lifting and work in various weather conditions. Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) preferred for site transportation duties.
