COMMERCIAL CONCRETE PROJECT ENGINEER

Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Commercial Concrete Project Engineer to lead and coordinate large-scale concrete construction projects within the commercial sector. Duties Develop comprehensive project plans, including detailed schedules using construction management software, to ensure timely project delivery. Oversee construction estimating processes to accurately forecast costs and resource needs. Coordinate with design teams, contractors, and suppliers to ensure project specifications are met while maintaining budget controls. Manage contract administration by reviewing and negotiating contracts, change orders, and scope modifications to protect project interests. Monitor construction site activities for adherence to safety standards, quality requirements, and project timelines. Utilize software to document management, progress tracking, and communication across teams. Track project progress through regular site visits, progress reports, and schedule updates; proactively address potential delays or issues. Facilitate effective project meetings to align team objectives, resolve conflicts, and ensure clear communication among all stakeholders. Implement time management strategies to optimize productivity and resource allocation across multiple concurrent projects. Experience Proven experience in heavy civil or commercial concrete construction projects with a strong background in construction site management. Demonstrated expertise in construction estimating using HeavyBid or similar software tools. Extensive knowledge of project scheduling techniques to develop and maintain detailed schedules. Familiarity with contract administration processes including drafting, review, negotiation, and compliance monitoring. Strong understanding of construction safety protocols, quality assurance procedures, and regulatory requirements on-site. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining attention to detail. Effective communication skills for coordinating between clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams.
