$20-$28 per hour, depending on experience and skill level About 360 Services of Virginia 360 Services of Virginia is a growing construction company specializing in concrete, roadway construction, work-zone services, site restoration, landscaping, demolition, and general construction. We are looking for an experienced and dependable Senior General Laborer to join our team. This position is intended for someone with solid construction experience who understands how a jobsite operates, can work independently when needed, and is comfortable performing a wide variety of hands-on construction tasks. The right candidate will be expected to contribute both as a laborer and as a skilled equipment operator . Position Overview The primary functions of this position will involve concrete and roadway construction , including demolition, forming, preparation, pouring, and finishing. The position will also involve a variety of other construction activities, including work-zone construction and maintenance, excavation, grading, landscaping/site restoration, demolition, drainage, material handling, and general site work . Because our projects vary, the Senior General Laborer must be comfortable taking on different responsibilities depending on the project and should be able to transition between manual labor and equipment operation as needed. Heavy Equipment Operation Skid steer and mini excavator experience is required for this position. The successful candidate must have practical experience operating both skid steers and mini excavators and be comfortable using this equipment safely and effectively in a construction environment. Experience with additional equipment is a plus. Responsibilities Operate skid steers and mini excavators safely and efficiently Perform excavation, grading, backfilling, and site preparation Assist with concrete demolition and removal Prepare subgrades and work areas for concrete installation Build, set, and remove concrete forms Assist with concrete placement, pouring, and finishing Perform concrete surface preparation and finishing work Safely operate concrete breakers, skill saws, and other power tools Assist with roadway and road construction projects Perform work associated with active work zones Assist with drainage, erosion control, and related site work Perform landscaping and site restoration associated with construction and work zones Restore disturbed areas using topsoil, seed, straw, mulch, and other materials Load, unload, stage, and move construction materials and equipment Perform general site cleanup and maintain an organized work area Work safely around construction equipment, vehicles, traffic, and active work zones Assist with identifying materials, tools, and equipment needed for assigned tasks Follow instructions from foremen and supervisors Take initiative to keep projects moving and identify tasks that need to be completed Assist less-experienced crew members when appropriate Follow all company and jobsite safety requirements Perform other construction-related duties as required Required Qualifications Demonstrated experience operating skid steers Demonstrated experience operating mini excavators Previous experience in construction, concrete, roadwork, excavation, or a related field Ability to safely operate construction equipment around personnel, vehicles, structures, utilities, and active work zones Ability to use common hand and power tools Understanding of basic construction methods and jobsite practices Ability to read and follow directions from foremen and supervisors Ability to work independently and as part of a crew Strong work ethic and dependable attendance Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions Ability to perform physically demanding construction work Valid driver's license preferred Preferred Experience Additional experience in the following areas is a strong plus: Concrete demolition Concrete forming Concrete placement and finishing Roadway construction Excavation and grading Drainage installation Work-zone construction Site restoration Construction-related landscaping Concrete saws and breakers Operating additional heavy equipment Trailer and equipment loading/unloading What We're Looking For We're looking for someone who knows construction and knows how to work . Candidates must be able to:
Lift and carry construction materials and equipment Work on their feet for extended periods Bend, kneel, crouch, climb, and work in various positions Perform repetitive physical tasks throughout the workday Work around concrete, dirt, dust, construction debris, and other jobsite materials Work outdoors in hot, cold, wet, and changing weather conditions Safely work around heavy equipment, vehicles, and active roadway work zones
Compensation & Advancement Pay:
$20-$28 per hour, depending on experience and skill level. Compensation will be based on construction experience, demonstrated equipment-operating ability, concrete/roadwork experience, reliability, and ability to work independently.
