Job Description

Job Description Insight Global's client is seeking an experienced Structural Concrete Superintendent to lead field operations on complex heavy civil construction projects. This role will focus heavily on structural concrete work, including foundations, retaining walls, pump stations, treatment facilities, cast-in-place structures, bridge components, and other concrete-intensive infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in heavy civil construction, proven leadership experience, and a commitment to safety, quality, and project execution. Responsibilities Lead and oversee daily field operations for structural concrete and heavy civil construction projects. Manage construction crews, foremen, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and according to project specifications. Plan and forecast project activities, manpower, equipment, and material needs to maintain schedule and productivity goals. Coordinate and sequence structural concrete activities including formwork, reinforcing steel, embeds, concrete placement, finishing, and curing operations. Review project plans, specifications, and contract documents to support successful project execution. Identify and mitigate project risks related to construction methods, safety, scheduling, manpower, and material requirements. Monitor project progress and provide updates regarding safety, quality, productivity, and schedule performance. Partner with project managers, field engineers, inspectors, subcontractors, and utility stakeholders throughout project execution. Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with quality standards, design requirements, and construction best practices. Enforce company safety policies and OSHA standards through daily oversight, safety meetings, and jobsite inspections. Support workforce development by identifying training needs and mentoring field personnel. Maintain accurate project documentation, including daily reports, production tracking, schedules, timecards, and project logs. Troubleshoot construction challenges and implement solutions to keep projects on track. Skills and Requirements 10+ years of construction experience, with significant experience managing structural concrete work. 5+ years of superintendent or construction management experience on infrastructure or heavy civil projects. Demonstrated experience overseeing structural concrete scopes such as reinforced concrete structures, foundations, pump stations, water/wastewater facilities, bridges, or similar projects. Strong knowledge of heavy civil construction methods, concrete construction practices, materials, and applicable regulations.
