Roberts, WI Job Summary:
The Location Quality Control Manager oversees quality assurance activities for concrete manufacturing operations, ensuring products meet industry standards and customer specifications. This position supervises quality control staff, manages mix designs, coordinates with production and engineering teams, and monitors manufacturing processes to identify and resolve quality issues. The role supports continuous improvement, regulatory compliance, and a safe work environment.
Key Responsibilities & Duties:
- Supervises, mentors, and trains Quality Control Technicians.
- Assigns daily responsibilities and ensures adherence to quality standards and procedures.
- Oversees and performs quality control inspections, checks, and tests throughout all stages of production.
- Ensures compliance with applicable PCI, ACI, ASTM, and internal quality standards.
- Produces concrete samples and participates in mockup panel casting as required.
- Oversees accelerated curing practices and evaluates concrete performance.
- Coordinates with the Plant Foreman to align production schedules and resolve quality-related issues. related issues.
- Works closely with the Batch Plant Operator to manage mix quantities and delivery timing.
- Communicates with engineers regarding drawings, specifications, and technical concerns.
- Maintains and optimizes concrete mix designs to balance cost, performance, and quality.
- Observes production processes including setup, casting, stripping, and storage to identify improvement opportunities.
- Works collaboratively with production teams to resolve quality issues and improve outcomes.
- Prepares, maintains, and submits quality control inspection documentation and reports.
- Records inspection observations and provides recommendations for process improvements.
- Manages housekeeping standards to ensure a safe, organized, and compliant workplace.

Education & Preferred Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Preferred higher education
- 6-8 years of prior experience in quality control position
- Concrete plant and/or quality control experience required.
- Experience in the construction and/or building materials industry is required.
- Ability to interpret shop drawings and job specifications.
- Solid math aptitude.
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- ACI Field Technician Level 1
- PCI level II required; level III preferred.
- Proficient in Computer Skills with Microsoft Office.

Pay:
$75,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
