Job Description
Ford Construction is a Waukesha-based construction company that excels at difficult projects and specializes in meeting the unique needs of diverse businesses. From industrial and commercial buildings to interior remodels, retail spaces, and specialty projects, we tackle everything from metal building construction to welcome signs and grave site monuments We are seeking a skilled Concrete Form Setter to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess at least 3-5 years of concrete experience, a strong background in various concrete techniques, and is able to work independently or as part of a team. The scope of work will be in specialized repair & concrete work, including footing, walls, slabs, and bollards.
Duties:
- Assist in the preparation of worksites by setting up equipment and materials
- Set up concrete forms, pour, spread, and finish concrete using various tools
- Demolition required for jobsites
- Follow project schedules and deadlines
- Collaborate with the construction team to ensure quality workmanship
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
Qualifications:
- 3-5 Years Experience in concrete construction
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints
- Knowledge of project scheduling and coordination
- Familiarity with construction contracts and specifications
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
- Must be able to lift 70lb concrete forms
- Must be able to perform, lift work, boom work, and roof work?
- Supervisory experience is a plus
- Extra interest in candidates who have good concrete finishing skills
- Extra interest in candidates who also have skilled carpentry experience We are looking for someone who is hard working, flexible, a team player, enjoys a variety of different projects, and can add value to a positive team culture mindset.
