Job Description

Concrete Superintendent - Commercial Construction Van Ewing Construction, Inc. | Gillette, WY Van Ewing Construction, Inc. is looking for a Concrete Superintendent who knows how to lead crews, control production, and deliver clean concrete work under real-world conditions. This position is for someone who takes ownership of the slab, the schedule, and the results. If you've run concrete crews before and know how to keep crews moving, forms tight, and pours on schedule—this role is for you. The Role You will be responsible for all concrete operations on assigned projects, from layout through final finish. Plan, schedule, and supervise concrete crews and subcontractors Lead daily jobsite operations including layout, forming, reinforcing, placing, finishing, and curing Coordinate concrete pours, inspections, testing, and deliveries Maintain production, manpower, and equipment efficiency Enforce jobsite safety and OSHA compliance—no shortcuts Communicate daily with the Project Manager on schedule, manpower, and issues Maintain quality control and ensure work meets plans and specifications Solve field problems quickly to avoid delays and rework Maintain clean, organized, and productive job sites What It Takes This is not an entry-level position. We are looking for proven field leadership. ACI Certifications 10+ years of experience supervising commercial concrete work Strong knowledge of forming systems, rebar, embeds, flatwork, and structural concrete Proven ability to lead crews and subcontractors Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications Strong understanding of concrete sequencing and production planning Solid OSHA knowledge and commitment to safety High work ethic and ability to work long hours when pours demand it Physically capable of working in active construction environments Willingness to live in Gillette, WY What You Get Competitive pay based on experience and performance Full-time, year-round employment Benefits including health insurance, 401(k), and paid vacation Authority in the field—this role runs the concrete work A company that values results, accountability, and strong field leadership Schedule is Monday-Friday with early mornings, long days, and occasional weekends depending on pours and weather. Pay:
$75,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
