This isn't a "sit-in-the-truck" kind of role. We need a lead who is still a master of the craft, someone who can wire a panel with precision while simultaneously coordinating a three-person crew and managing a demanding project schedule. If you enjoy the variety of jumping between different sites, solving unique field problems on the fly, and seeing projects through from start to finish in weeks rather than years, this is your lane. The Core Mission As a Working Foreman, you are the backbone of our service and small projects department. You will be responsible for the onsite execution of electrical installations, ensuring safety, quality, and profitability. You'll spend about 70% of your time with tools in hand and 30% managing the logistics of the job site. Key Responsibilities 1. Field Execution & Technical Leadership Lead by
Example:
Perform high-level electrical work (rough-in, trim, motor controls, troubleshooting) alongside your crew.Blueprint Proficiency:
Read and interpret sets of prints, schematics, and one-lines to ensure everything is built to spec.Quality Control:
Ensure all work meets the National Electrical Code (NEC) and our company's "gold standard" for craftsmanship. 2. Project Management (Small Jobs Focus)Material Logistics:
Anticipate material needs and coordinate deliveries/pickups to keep the "wheels turning" without downtime.Crew Supervision:
Manage a small team (typically 2-5 people), assigning daily tasks and ensuring high productivity.Client Relations:
Act as the face of the company for GCs and owners on-site. You'll be the one answering the "Can we move this outlet?" questions. 3.Documentation & Safety Digital Reporting:
Use tablets/software to track daily logs, timecards, and "as-built" changes.Safety First:
Conduct weekly toolbox talks and ensure the crew is 100% compliant with OSHA standards. What You Bring to theTable Requirements and Descriptions Experience:
5+ years of commercial/industrial electrical experience; 2+ years in a lead electrician or foreman role.Licensing:
Valid Journeyman or Master Electrician license is required.Project Scope:
Proven track record of managing jobs under $1M with tight turnarounds.Tech Savvy:
Comfortable using project management software (e.g., Procore, Fieldwire) and digital layouts.Soft Skills:
