Job Description

Summary:
Origin Mining Company operates the Mineral Park copper-molybdenum mine in Arizona and is focused on responsible, sustainable resource development. We aim to lead the U.S. copper industry through strong safety practices, environmental stewardship, and operational excellence. Our team is committed to doing things the right way—acting with integrity, supporting our communities, and creating long-term value. With a hands-on, technically driven approach, we are advancing both leach and concentrator operations to produce high-quality copper and molybdenum products.
Position Overview:
The E/I Foreman leads a small team (2-6 employees) in the maintenance, troubleshooting, and installation of industrial electrical and instrumentation systems. This role requires a strong electrical background, working knowledge of instrumentation, and basic understanding of control systems (PLC/HMI). Candidates should have solid industrial maintenance experience, ideally in mining, manufacturing, or industrial construction environments.
Job Responsibilities:
Supervise and coordinate daily work of E/I technicians, ensuring safety and productivity. Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electrical equipment and control systems. Diagnose issues using meters, testing equipment, and schematics. Work with motor controls, VFDs, PLC I/O wiring, and medium voltage systems (up to 13.2kV). Perform preventive maintenance and support equipment reliability. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals. Assist with basic PLC/HMI troubleshooting. Coordinate with operations to identify and resolve equipment issues. Mentor team members and promote safe work practices.
Qualifications:
5+ years of industrial electrical maintenance experience (mining preferred). Prior leadership experience supervising small teams required. Strong knowledge of AC/DC theory, motor controls, and industrial systems. Working knowledge of instrumentation and basic PLC/HMI systems. Experience with VFDs and medium voltage equipment preferred. Industrial maintenance background with fixed equipment. Electrician certification is an asset, not required. Basic computer skills.
Physical Demands:
To be eligible for this position, an individual must possess the following requirements to perform the essential job functions: Must be able to physically perform the basic life operational functions of climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking on uneven surfaces, pushing, pulling, lifting, fingering, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, and repetitive motion. Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in all kinds of weather. Able to operate a telephone and mine phone/radio with sufficient voice and hearing to carry on a conversation for the purpose of communicating information. Able to hear sufficiently to distinguish various pitches of warning alarms.
