Job Description
Plumber Foreman - Multifamily Apartment Projects J&G Systems is seeking an experienced Plumber Foreman to lead plumbing crews on new‑construction multifamily apartment projects. We are looking for a motivated leader with strong communication skills, dependable transportation, and a proven track record supervising plumbing installations in multifamily environments. Position Summary The Plumber Foreman oversees and coordinates all plumbing activities on multifamily apartment projects, ensuring installations meet code requirements, project specifications, and company quality standards. This role includes supervising crews, planning daily tasks, coordinating with GC and other trades, and ensuring work progresses safely, efficiently, and correctly from underground through rough‑in and trim. Key Responsibilities Lead, supervise, and train plumbing crews on multifamily apartment projects Plan daily work activities, assign tasks, and maintain productivity Oversee and install all phases of plumbing systems: underground, rough‑in, top‑out, and trim Ensure compliance with plumbing codes, standards, and project specifications Read and interpret plans, layouts, and isometric drawings Coordinate with project managers, superintendents, inspectors, and other trades Assemble, cut, fabricate, and install pipes, fittings, fixtures, water supply systems, and sanitary drainage systems Maintain jobsite safety and enforce company policies Troubleshoot issues and provide solutions to keep projects moving Track material needs, manage inventory, and communicate shortages Maintain professionalism and foster a positive team environment Requirements & Essential Skills Minimum 5 years of plumbing experience , preferably in multifamily or commercial apartment construction Foreman or lead experience strongly preferred Strong knowledge of plumbing codes and multifamily construction sequencing Ability to lead crews and communicate clearly Competent use of hand tools and small power tools Dependable attendance and punctuality Professional demeanor and ability to work under pressure Physical Requirements Reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and current auto insurance Ability to lift 50+ lbs, bend, stoop, crawl, climb ladders, and work on uneven ground Ability to work indoors and outdoors in heat, cold, and adverse weather Exposure to dust, fumes, grease, chemicals, and machinery with moving parts Ability to stand or sit for long periods and work in confined spaces Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities.
