Join a major open-pit copper mining operation supporting high- & low-voltage power distribution, substations, transformers, overhead lines & electrical infrastructure across the site. What You'll Do Construct, maintain & repair high- & low-voltage power lines Extend & cut back power lines & distribution service lines Test, frame & set poles String power lines & install cross arms, anchors & switches Maintain substations, transformers & electrical services Troubleshoot power distribution system faults Perform preventative maintenance on electrical distribution systems Install & maintain primary & secondary metering Maintain general area lighting Work with overhead & underground power distribution systems Mentor electrical workers & serve as a Fill-In Supervisor when needed Perform groundman duties including material handling & equipment operation What You Bring One of the following: Approved Lineman Apprentice program 4+ years of Lineman experience Associate degree/trade school certification in a related field plus 2+ years of overhead & underground power distribution experience Also required: Valid driver's license with ability to obtain CDL within 90 days Knowledge of rubber gloving, hot sticking & live-line maintenance Proficiency with LOTOTO Ability to work from a bucket for extended periods Experience troubleshooting & repairing overhead power distribution systems Ability to read technical manuals, electrical prints & schematics Knowledge of
