Job Description

Supervisor - HVAC/Plumbing Service CoordinationPosition OverviewWe are seeking a proactive Supervisor for our HVAC/Plumbing Service Coordination team to lead daily service operations, ensure timely dispatch and completion of maintenance and repair work, and maintain high customer satisfaction. This role focuses on coordinating HVAC and plumbing service teams, monitoring service performance, and improving processes to meet safety, quality, and budget targets.

Key ResponsibilitiesSupervise and coordinate daily HVAC and plumbing service activities, including scheduling, dispatching, and assigning work to technicians.

Ensure timely response to service requests and prioritize jobs based on urgency, safety, and customer impact.

Monitor technician performance and service quality; provide coaching, feedback, and on-the-job training to improve skills and compliance with procedures.

Collaborate with dispatch to manage schedules, track progress, and adjust resources to meet service demands and SLAs.

Coordinate with project managers and vendors for larger repairs or planned maintenance, ensuring continuity between service and project work.

Review service reports, job documentation, and customer feedback to identify trends and opportunities for process improvements.

Support budgeting and cost control by tracking labor, parts, and subcontractor costs and recommending efficiency measures.

Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards for HVAC and plumbing work.

Maintain clear communication with customers, internal stakeholders, and field staff to set expectations and resolve escalations.

Prepare regular operational reports on service metrics, technician utilization, backlog, and completed work.

Assist in inventory tracking for common parts and supplies; coordinate procurement or requisitions as needed.

QualificationsMinimum 3-5 years of experience in HVAC or plumbing service operations, including hands-on service or supervisory experience.

Demonstrated expertise in HVAC systems and service best practices; strong understanding of plumbing service principles.

Proven experience coordinating field service, dispatch, or scheduling functions and managing technician teams.

Strong communication, leadership, and customer service skills with the ability to manage escalations and maintain professional relationships.

Experience with job documentation, service reporting, and basic budget tracking or cost control measures.

Comfortable using service management software, scheduling tools, and mobile dispatch platforms.

Ability to read service reports, interpret technical information, and provide clear direction to technicians.

Nice to have: mechanical aptitude, formal experience with budgets, project management exposure, plumbing certifications, schedule optimization, and dispatch coordination.

Valid drivers license and willingness to travel between sites as required.
