Job Description

RyanCo Construction is seeking an experienced welding contractor, rig welder, or pipeline welding foreman for an upcoming natural gas pipeline project in Palmdale, California. Project consists of approximately 600 LF of 2-inch carbon steel gas pipe and 600 LF of 3-inch carbon steel gas pipe. We are looking for an experienced individual or company that can handle fit-up, welding, and support inspection requirements for a short-duration utility project. This is contract/subcontract work and is not intended as a long-term employment position.
Responsibilities:
Fit-up and weld approximately 600 LF of 2-inch carbon steel gas pipe Fit-up and weld approximately 600 LF of 3-inch carbon steel gas pipe Coordinate with excavation and installation crews Support inspection and testing requirements Assist with tie-ins and final pipeline installation activities Perform work safely and in accordance with applicable industry standards
Requirements:
Experience welding carbon steel natural gas pipelines Ability to perform pipe fit-up and field welding Existing WPS and welder qualification documentation preferred Familiarity with gas utility pipeline standards and inspection requirements Ability to provide welding equipment, tools, and consumables Proper insurance and subcontractor documentation preferred
Project Information:
Palmdale, California Short-duration project (approximately 2-4 weeks) Active welding anticipated to be only a few days Excavation, equipment, pipe handling, lifting, and field support will be provided by RyanCo Construction Welding contractor is expected to focus primarily on fit-up, welding, and supporting inspection requirements Please include a resume, project list, company profile, or summary of relevant gas pipeline experience. Subcontractors, welding companies, rig welders, and pipeline foremen are encouraged to apply.
Pay:
$2,000.00 - $3,000.00 per day
