JTE Electrical is seeking an experienced Solar Commercial Journeyman Foreman to join our growing team. This position requires a highly skilled leader with strong commercial solar and electrical experience who can oversee crews, maintain project schedules, and ensure all work is completed safely and in compliance with NEC and OSHA standards.
ACTIVE CALIFORNIA JOURNEYMAN ELECTRICIAN LICENSE REQUIRED.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in commercial solar construction, electrical systems installation, troubleshooting, conduit installation, switchgear, and crew leadership. This is a working foreman position requiring both leadership and hands-on field work. Responsibilities Lead and supervise commercial solar electrical crews on active job sites Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair commercial electrical and solar systems Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and electrical drawings Ensure all installations comply with NEC, OSHA, and local code requirements Coordinate with Project Managers, Superintendents, Inspectors, and subcontractors Install and oversee conduit, wiring, switchgear, transformers, panels, breakers, fixtures, and low voltage systems Perform electrical work necessary to connect solar systems to the grid Lead crews in inverter stringing, combiner box wiring, wire management, and home runs Maintain construction schedules and ensure projects stay on track Conduct troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repairs on commercial electrical systems Complete Daily Reports, Weekly Reports, Job Safety Analysis (JSA), and tailgate meetings Maintain company vehicle stock, tools, and equipment Follow all company safety procedures and maintain PPE compliance Mentor apprentices and electricians in the field Requirements
MUST HAVE
Active California Journeyman Electrician License Commercial solar electrical experience Foreman or crew leadership experience Strong knowledge of NEC and OSHA regulations Ability to read blueprints and electrical schematics Valid Driver's License with good driving record Ability to pass background check and drug screening Preferred Qualifications Experience with industrial and commercial electrical systems Solar installation and commissioning experience Experience with low voltage systems CPR and First Aid certification Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills Skills Leadership and team management Electrical troubleshooting Commercial solar construction Conduit bending and installation Switchgear and panel installation Time management and scheduling Strong communication skills Attention to detail and safety compliance Benefits 401(k) Health Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Paid Time Off Company Vehicle (if applicable)
