As a premier electrical contractor, we work on a wide array of projects from commercial builds to utility scale solar and renewable energy. We are currently seeking a qualified Foreman to help us manage solar projects including battery energy storage systems. Job Summary The Solar Foreman's primary duties will be to help motivate, drive, and manage the team to ensure assigned tasks are completed within the allotted time frame and budget. Additionally, they will be responsible for acting as an administrator and coordinator to provide necessary planning, organization, direction, communication and control between the various internal and external parties that impact the timing and profitability of assigned projects. The Solar Foreman is an essential component to the Capitol Valley Electric Management Team! Responsibilities and Duties Responsible for the construction worker agreement of subcontractors, inspection and logistics of large-scale roof and ground mount PV electrical systems. Solar/PV construction & commissioning. Inspection services for solar/PV, electrical and general construction Interpret specifications and read blueprints. Assist in lay out of work for crew. Preplan daily activities and ensure crew productivity to meet job schedule. Order and coordinate delivery of necessary materials. Comply with all documentation requirements and fill out all project related reports, such as: Daily Reports, Safety Reports, Inspection Reports, 2 & 3 week look ahead schedules, etc. Audit safe work practices, ensuring PPE is available and used properly. Assist superintendents with training, appraising work performance and addressing concerns of employees in the field. Qualifications 3-5 years' experience in Electrical Sub-contractor supervision 5-8 years of experience in Commercial Solar Electrical Work Valid CA General Electrician License preferred Able to Travel OSHA 30 Valid driver license Knowledge of DAS or SCADA installations. Including but not limited to the installation of a systems weather station and various components. Ability to interpret the designs' intent. Excellent verbal and written communication skills Moderate skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook Physical requirements include sitting, standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and use of hands and arms to operate equipment. Must have a strong sense of balance and no fear of heights. Must be able to lift and move up to 75 lbs.
