Full-Time Join MP Construction MP Construction is a growing residential and light commercial general contractor serving the San Francisco Peninsula. We specialize in high-quality remodels, additions, ADUs, structural repairs, decks, and custom finish work. We're looking for an experienced Lead Carpenter who enjoys building, takes pride in craftsmanship, and can lead a small crew while working alongside them every day. This is a hands-on leadership position—not a desk job. Responsibilities Lead a crew of 2-4 carpenters and laborers. Perform all phases of residential construction. Read and interpret construction plans and specifications. Complete layout, framing, structural modifications, and finish carpentry. Install windows, doors, siding, decking, cabinetry, trim, and hardware. Coordinate daily work with subcontractors and inspectors. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe jobsite. Identify field issues and develop practical solutions. Request materials before they are needed. Train and mentor less experienced carpenters. Provide daily progress updates, photos, and communicate with the Project Manager. Qualifications Minimum 7 years of residential construction experience. Minimum 3 years leading a crew.
Strong experience with:
Remodels Home additions ADUs Structural framing Deck construction Finish carpentry Ability to read blueprints independently. Excellent problem-solving skills. Valid California driver's license with reliable transportation. Own professional hand tools. Ability to lift 75 lbs and work outdoors. Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
